The Undertaker’s Tapes is the alias if Léo Hivert from France, currently residing in Prague. Back in December he released the excellent mini-album Autolysis on Wrong Tapes. Then In March this year he help inaugurate the new label Apnée Artefact, run by Marie-Emmanuelle Arouet (Pinkman). The idea behind the label is to release split-cassettes focusing on a particular societal subject. Crossing Shoel is a collaboration between The Undertaker’s Tapes and Blime Dust, including their interpretations of the other’s music. Two tracks from each, plus reinterpreted versions means 8 tracks all in all. ‘Shoel’ means the underworld in the Old Testament, and the music is suitably dark and doom-laden.
