Two 60s fanatics from different generations come together on this new 45 released by Third Man. Third Man recording artist and producer Olivia Jean collaborates with April March who played in The Pussywillows in the 80s. Apart from releasing many solo records, March also later played with The Makers and The Shitbirds. Olivia Jean’s most recent album Night Owl came out in 2019 and was highly reminiscent of Thee Headcoatees from the UK. Together they do a scorching cover of Liz Brady’s “Palladium”. March does the French version and Jean sings in English. Furthermore, the digital release includes two more versions of the track, all performed in both languages (making the total number of tracks 6).
By the way, April March’s brand new bandcamp also has some copies of her sold out releases from the 90s up for sale.
