Bravais Lattice is one the newer artists on the Chicago Research roster and I’ve been loving their previous releases. Now they’re back with what’s billed as their debut LP, called Orientation Matrix. It follows their first album Emerald Repose from last year, that was only released on cassette. The 7-track album is a lavish package, coloured vinyl in a screenprinted cover that comes in tie-dyed silk rather than a plastic sleeve. Crystalline musical structures mix with field recordings and even some crisp percussion on “Transference”.
