Pan Daijing is a musician and composer based in Berlin who caused quite a stir with her 2017 album Lack, which came out on PAN. Two years ago her opera in five acts that was commission by Tate Modern premiered and Dajing is now returning to PAN for the release of new album Jade 玉观音. Still working with field recordings, deconstructed instruments, operatic vocals and noise. You can listen to the first single “Dust” now, with the remainder of the nine track dropping in June. They were created over the past three years, capturing the sound of solitude.
