Ironhand Records is a German label specialised in Turkish music both new and reissued. Their latest release is a 4-track EP compiling the best tracks by Turkish musician Mustafa Kuş. Kuş studied in Germany and in 1976 founded the group İmece who released three albums in the early 80s. On records like Disco Türkü they blended Anatolian rhythms with funk and jazz to great effect. In fact the four songs on the brand new Veda EP sound more like 70s recordings than 80s disco fare. A fantastic reissue, sadly it’s already out of print after its release last month.
