TDA may not be the most intriguing band name ever, but I assure you this solo project Samuel Gougoux of Montreal groups like Corridor and Jonathan Personne. Ascète is his debut LP and came out on Michel Records yesterday. This 9-track album is based around oddly syncopated percussion, industrial synthesizer sounds and guitar noise. The lyrics are either spoken or chanted, giving it a ritualistic feeling. Definitely one for the Throbbing Gristle fans out there.
