The Serfs who released two great records on Detriti a couple of years ago have been a mystery to most people. However, with the release of their new single on Market Square they are finally coming out of the woodwork. The Serfs are from Ohio and shares three member with Crime of Passing, who has released some great stuff on local label Wasted Tapes. The Serfs were supposed to have a new record out on Wasted Tapes, as one of the tracks was shared with the public last year. I’m not sure what’s happening with that, since the label now seems to have changed their name to Future Shock. Instead, this selftitled EP on UK label Market Square just came out today, with a more guitar-based sound on two of the tracks.
