German producer L.F.T. had some great records out in 2020, including the Red Pyramid EP on Mechatronica. Now he’s back on that label with a brand new 12″ called Träume von Gabriel. The record’s three tracks (plus a remix by Dollkraut) are mean and lead electro fuelled by the tragedies of 2020. “Herdenimmunität” is definitely not a concept I was familiar with before 2020. The release is dedicated to Gabriel Delgado-López who was born in Spain and later moved to Germany, where he formed D.A.F. together with Robert Görl. He passed away last year, way too early, but not in covid. Nils Fock appears on vocals on “Strassenmensch”.
