Tokyo-based Aya Gloomy has announced the release of her sophomore album Tokyo Hakai one month from now. It’s likely to be a self-release just like the brilliant EP Kanjiru from 2019. In December the first single “Micro Creature” appeared along with a video also starring Mahne Frame. Frame has directed the new video/documentary for “Start Again” that came out a few days ago. There will be nine more tracks on the album, and judging by what I’ve heard so far it’s going to be a standout for anyone into experimental pop and Björk’s Post era.
