Last Wednesday it was 303 Day, celebrating the Roland TB-303 used extensively in acid house. Check out the annual release from Mule Driver, as well as the new tape from Chupacabras alias Acid Freq., called Visions. Although it came out a month ago, it’s a perfect TB-303 workout, with 7 tracks recorded all analogue during 2020. “303 Freq.” is a case in point, but “Te gusta bailar?” is my pick. The tape came out on Jeremy Rodriguez’ own new label Draconian Steps, obviously inspired by the pandemic.
