PJ Dorsey from Baltimore is a an artist who’s into “psychoactive music which can alter one’s cognitive and conscious state” to quote his previous label Lullabies For Insomniacs. Following his 2020 LP as Tarotplane, which consisted of two long meditations on sound, the brand new album Horizontology takes a more song-based approach. The LP came out on Glasgow label 12th Isle a couple of weeks ago and consists of 8 tracks. The b-side has its tracks woven together into a seamless song cycle. It’s a lightly psychedelic mix of ambient, kraut and synthesizer drones.
