Los Angeles based solo artist Doll Klaw has been making dark synth-pop for a few years now, and in 2020 we featured her latest hit “Inside Me”. This track has now been included on her second EP Thorns that came out earlier this week on Funnybone Records. Promoted with the new heartfelt single “Angelica”, the video clearly shows the feelings of grief and community that inspired the song. I like the dramatic Pet Shop Boys vibe that carries throughout the record, culminating in the brooding title-track.
