Rogue State is an alias of Jim Mroz, whose project Lussuria we wrote about recently. Apparently named after Rogue State University, a NYC venue for the ‘industrial arts’. Last year he released a tape called Breakaway Governments as well as appearing on the Hospital Productions compilation Computer Murder. Just a couple of weeks ago, his first album appeared on the same label and Funeral For Music was my introduction to the project. Titles like “Playback Device Demolition” speak their clear language, this is concrete noise bordering on industrial ‘music’.
