Al Gharib is a new label from Beirut/Melbourne as well a host for events, the most recent of which was held at Colour last weekend. The first release on the label is an incredibly well-sourced compilation, packed with music from some of the best electronic artists globally, including label founders Omrann, Clair Bai and DJ Ali. Le Beirut came out on double-CD in December featuring 32 tracks, in support of minority groups in Lebanon, including those affected by the explosion last summer. Amazing contributions from Rune Bagge, River Yarra, Sentimental Rave (pictured), Kidä, Alobhe, Peachlyfe and many many more.
