Heather Trost has released a couple of albums already, one of which came out on Living Music Duplication, the small label she runs with her partner. Together they also play in A Hawk and a Hacksaw. With her latest album Petrichor, however Trost is poised to reach a wider audience thanks to new label Third Man. It is indeed a wonderful album as well, possessing the same appeal as Melody’s Echo Chamber without shying from longer experimental tracks like “Vko9”. The album came out in November so I’m a bit late to the party.
