Standing On the Corner is a Brooklyn collective that I’ve sadly been unaware of until now. They’ve released a couple of albums that are loose amalgamations of jazz, hiphop, lofi and just about every other genre. Coming together in an unholy marriage that sounds like an experimental version of Go! Team, their most recent record is an EP called G-E-T-O-U-T!! The Ghetto that came out via Creative Mysteries Arts in July. It’s a euphoric track in two parts, embellished with a dub version as well as a warbling opus called “Zolo Go”.
