“I will forever be grateful to Mr Yonkers for bringing me a little joy with his music and inspiring weirdos everywhere.” That’s what John Dwyer (Osees) said about the solo record he did with Damaged Bug earlier this year. Bug On Yonkers consists of covers of songs by Michael Yonkers from various decades, picked by Dwyer due to their influence on his own songwriting. The other musicians on the recordings are eg. Tom Dolas and Brigid Dawson and the 9-track album came out on Castle Face in July. One of the most fun set of songs released by Dwyer in years.
