Legendary él Records composer and singer Louis Philippe is returning with his first album in over ten years in December. Earlier this year he released a second collaborative LP together with Stuart Moxham, but this is his first solo album since 2007. Well, it’s credited to Louis Philippe & the Night Mail, since the record was mostly recorded live in the studio together with three friends that he first performed with in 2015. Philippe’s last live performance was three years ago, after which the foursome decided to record Thunderclouds, a beautiful collection of 13 tracks. On Dec 16th they will be doing another concert, broadcast live from the very same studio, where they will also be joined by Danny Manners on piano.
