Dumb Punts is a Melbourne group that shares members with a bunch of other bands like Smooch. Two years ago they released their first album The Big One and now it’s time for The Big One Two, out on Pissfart last month. They still have plenty in common with other Australian garage groups like Drunk Mums, but on this album they have honed their songwriting chops and put some serious melodies to vinyl. My favourite tracks are the ones featuring Cairn on vocals, like the powerpop burner “Up All Night”.
