I’ve followed Still Corners since their 2007 debut, quietly in awe of how they’ve managed to stay relevant within their little niche of dreampop. It’s been two years since Slow Air came out and they duo has announced the release of new album The Last Exit on their own label Wrecking Light in January. The two singles so far, “Crying” and the record’s title-track see them moving along in the same direction – perhaps with a bit of Morricone’s spirit hanging overhead. The cover looks like it might be the soundtrack the upcoming Dune remake and titles like “White Sands” and “Shifting Dunes” seem to support that notion.
