Brigitte G. released an album of ambient industrial music on Chicago Research earlier this year. Heaven’s Tether is a refreshingly non-harmonic mix of what sounds like field recordings and repetitive sounds barely, but not often, mimicking percussion. It’s a mini-album full of both free-form noise and structured songs with spoken vocals. At times it’s truly spellbinding, such as the flickering, static-filled “Rotting Leaves”. Unfortunately, as is often the case with Chicago Research artists, there’s no info. All I can tell you is there are no other releases by Brigitte G. on discogs and that the cassette is still in print.
