The result of “pandemic indulgence”, Satha Lovek’s brand new EP for Portuguese label Farra is a thing of beauty. Taking the same post-colonial approach as the Molero album we recently wrote about, PT Malacca studies the old Portuguese colony in Malaysia over four tracks. The beguiling “Compassion As Contempt” sit side by side with the fierce electronics of “Grago”, which is a derogatory term for Malaysians from that region.
