While The Shifters have not been able to play much this year they’ve still managed to release a single and a bunch of live and demo recordings. Tristan has released music as The Red Engine Group, as well as finishing a new project called Permits. Originally recorded in 2018 with Jesse Williams (Girlatones), the songs on Time Permits are leftovers from the various songwriters in the group – that also includes Tam Matlakowski (who also just released a new EP with Girlatones), Rob Remedios (Chook Race) and Dusty Anastassiou (Dag). The songs were finished in their homes and is set to be released on Tenth Court next month.
