Anti Fade Records have recently announced a new tape featuring Tom Ridgewell, to be released next month. Ridgewell might be familiar from classic Melbourne groups such as Woollen Kits, Constant Mongrel and the obscure Calamari Girls (which aslo included Tristan of The Shifters). Now recording as TB Ridge As the Director, this rather conceptual album was created with a drum machine using Garageband – channeling the minimalism of Lou Reed. The first single “Rock N Roll Heart” is an unapologetic hymn to rock music, as we know it from the 70s. The tape was mastered by his old bandmate from the Kits, Tom Hardisty.
