For bandcamp Friday this month The Clientele from London have decided to release a cover they’ve done of The Go-Betweens’ “Orpheus Beach”. The Australian band recorded it in 2000 for The Friends of Rachel Worth after their reunion. That was around the same time The Clientele released their singles collection, which has become a defining moment for them. Their version is shorter and they’ve made it their own, but kept the dramatic change into major key for the big signature Grant McLennan chorus. This release follows another cover the band released back in June.
