Here’s a record that’s anything but complacent – the new EP from Moema Meade’s moniker Lady Neptune sounds like a sugar rush from hell. Now based in Glasgow, New Gorbals Gabber comes to us via Scottish label Night School. Released on cassette with a cover designed by Teresa Schonherr, this is a limited item including six new track inspired by the Dutch so-called gabber scene. We’re talking high-speed kick drums distorted beyond recognition, all overlaid with Neptune’s fairylike vocals. “Get 2 Know U” is bound to stick in your mind whether you like it or not.
