Fresh out on Billo (and vinyl coming soon on Static Age), the debut release from Die Letzten Ecken sounds like a lost classic of the 80s DIY tape scene. The anonymous trio from Berlin consists of musicians from the loose ADK collective, sounding like more wacky version of AUS. Their self-titled EP or mini-album features post-punk synth sounds with clattering programmed percussion. There is a dark atmosphere over tracks like “Schlafende Wunden” (sleeping wounds) but also a certain silliness, that perhaps inadvertently comes with such a kitsch production. They definitely sound like no one else.
