Tel Aviv electronic label Confused Machines have a sublabel called Disused Machines, “focusing on the playful, experimental, obscure and far out sides of modern electronic music”. For their first compilation Disused Machines Vol. 1, they’ve gathered tracks from Israeli and Dutch artists both operating within and without ambient and drone and experimental. The fantastic Dim Garden was also included on the Traumgarten compilation we wrote about recently. Zoe Polanski released a beautiful dream pop album on Youngbloods during the summer. Also part of the set is a slightly more mellow track from my Tel Aviv fave PRZ.
