Cut Surface, the Vienna label who helped release the Neon Lies LP we wrote about recently, have just put out a cassette from local electronic artist Voiler a few weeks back. Voiler’s three-track EP is mixed from a sound piece for Elizabeth Ward’s performance Dancing’s Demons from earlier this year. It’s called 000 and is a tasteful exercise in electronic non-dance music, with “0 Whitney Edit” perhaps being the most accessible track, at 120 bpm. Kristina Pia Hofer is the person behind the Voiler moniker, of which this is the very first release.
