Be Gay, Do Crime is not just one of those rallying cries whose genius seemed to spring out of the collective mind – it’s now also a compilation tape from Girlsville Records. Girlsville is an “anti fascist, anti racist, anti reactionary” label started in Portland to release a Coachwhips record. Some five years later and 25 releases later this magnificent tape is put out in support of Prism Health, who offer mental health care to the LGBTQ+ community. Shock full of amazing talent from Osees, Special Interest, UV-TV, Stiff Love, Gen Pop, Blues Lawyer and Germ House – you need this one. There’s also a really cool cover of the Ken Fowley production “If Boys Got Pregnant” originally by The Orchids.
