Once Again the Present Becomes the Past is the name of the new and third album from Melbourne’s Alien Nosejob. Coming out in early October on Anti Fade and Iron Lung in the US, it arrives less than a year after their brilliant Suddenly Everything Is Twice As Loud. Rather than emulating the sound of the majority of those tracks, the forthcoming LP harks back to the HC45 (the hardcore 45) released last year. In short, compact bursts Jake Robertson channels the best of early hardcore via a mild obsession with NOFX. Listen to the first single “Airborne Toxic Event”, that bears witness to fact that the album was originally conceived as a “concept record about Australia’s first and largest air raid, the 1942 Bombing Of Darwin”.
