Ofelia Ortodoxa contributed a remix to one of the Black Propaganda records we just wrote about. Based in Medellín, Colombia, Ofelia Ortodoxa is a new project focused on darkwave and minimal synth. He just released a great minialbum last month – Maleficio that came out on tape via Spanish label Soil. Leading off with the majestic “Spatial K”, this is music for ruminating and not dancing. Most of the titles seem to focus on paganism, which together with the moniker points towards the hypocrisy of religion. This is a great release to check out if you like Filmmaker’s slower compositions.
