Ash Luk and Lida P who make music as Minimal Violence met at a sandwich shop in Vancouver where they both worked – the city that spawned both Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly. They’ve made quite a name for themselves in Europe with releases on labels like Lobster Theremin and culminating with the amazing album InDreams last year on Technicolour. Their brand of hyper-fast techno mixed with breakbeats and EBM is best witnessed live, but their new EP Phase One is something to behold. It’s came out on legendary label/club Tresor in May and the video for “Ravebomb” places it in the same creative universe as their latest album. One of the best of 2020 for sure.
