Dutch label Osàre! Editions put out this album from L.F.T. back in June as their third release. L.F.T. is the Hamburg-based DJ and producer Johannes Haas, who has a released a number of 12″ in the past but Blood In the Grass is the first full-length. Earlier this year a couple of great EPs came out on Mechatronica and the fairly new Portuguese label Eye For an Eye. On this new album L.F.T. continues revelling in the dark sounds of the EPs, with some of the tracks mixing in 80s synth pop vibes. It’s rather playful for an electro LP and I like the mix of analogue sounds with something that’s completely contemporary, as on “No Convenent” [sic].
Osàre! Editions has subsequently released a great compilation called Il Lupo della Steppa with tracks from Thanasis Zlatanos, Sophie du Palais and many others.
