Thanks to Lbeeze we managed to track down the recent EP from E.L.I. who appeared on his latest Up North comp. And damn, what a fine release this is. Dying to Live is a collection of six dystopian EBM tracks with some traces of acid. I still have no clue where this artist is from, but for a debut record this is great. “Misled Youth” and “Primitive Evil” both build on minimal synthesizer bass lines with expertly programmed drums. Over the top ride acid melodies that take you straight back to 1990. The tape came out on Spanish label Soil a few days ago.
