Lila Tirando a Violeta is a prolific artist from Montevideo, Uruguay. The experimental and electronic scene in South America is probably one of the few positive things that are happening in that part of the world right now, with conditions being terrible especially in Brazil. Later this month she’s releasing her first album for Mexican label NAAFI, and it’s an impressive collection of broken club music along the lines of Nghtcrwlr or Rebel Yell. You can hear the first single “Dry Season” from Limerencia now, and it’s a great example of her sound – mixing in elements of Latin music.
