Dutch groove masters Yin Yin have returned with a new single, and of course it’s out on Swiss label Bongo Joe. “Haw Phin” was written during the quarantine and recorded over the internet. The title alludes to “haw pin”, which means “stay strong” locally – a phrase that has been used a lot this year. Phin is actually a string instrument that is popular in Thailand and Laos, and it’s used to great effect here. “Chong Ky” is an old live favourite that finally sees release here, three years after the original recording. The single dropped a few days ago and you can still get the coloured vinyl.
