Silicone Prairie from the US appears on the GTRRC compilation that just came out, doing a cover by the Mentally Ill. Their only proper release so far is a tape that came out on Mutants 4 Nuclear Waste in Kansas City, back in May. Their Two Songs cassette is just that, two songs that don’t make a fuzz but are still incredible. Apart from their cover of “Padded Cell”, the play a fine original number called “Ozone Day”, which is a bit more new wave. It’s rumoured that the band is the latest project from ‘Natural Man’ Ian Teeple, who also runs the Mutants 4 Nuclear Waste label. Looks like a digital only release so far.
