Maenad Veyl is the alias of Milan-based Thomas Feriero, who also runs the Veyl label. After a split with Years of Denial and some solo EPs, he released his first album Body Count last year. It was a very dark electro record that included some darkwave tracks as well. On his new album Reassessment he takes a step back on mood pieces like “Drawn In”, but also include three collaborations with Years of Denial. Feriero shows that he can make music for dancing as well, on “Hardened Artieries”. In a few weeks he’s also releasing a compilation on Veyl called Still Life, with contributions from Jensen Interceptor and Cardopusher.
