Felix Fleer is German electronic artist and also one of the people behind the Raw Imprint label. For his first solo EP Silver Rain he has gathered no less than eight tracks, mixing softer and harder dancefloor sounds. In length it approaches an album, in my opinion, but it was just released on tape by Spanish label Føld. Føld is a new label by Svreca who also runs Semantica, and it was inaugurated last year with a release by Andreas Tilliander. Fleer’s cold and technical approach fits the label’s minimalist aesthetic well, from the moving “It’s Never Ending” to the pumping beat of “Polyhedron”.
