Itai Biri is originally from Tel Aviv but now active in Berlin, where he co-runs the Black Crown label. He released his first solo EP Process Is Forever a few months ago on the esteemed Counterchange label based in Berlin and founded by Inland. It’s a digital-only release including five tracks of sparse but tasteful techno sounds, each one exploring a melodic motif. It’s a big sound that makes great use of space, especially on “Ursa Minor”. It stands up well next to Inland’s own new LP release that follows it on the label. Stay tuned for Italian artist Distant Echoes release at the end of July.
