Ray Seraphin used to play in Talkies but has now recorded his first solo LP in the Bay Area. As R.E. Seraphin, his album called Tiny Shapes was first released on cassette by Paisley Shirt Records, but is now coming out in a very small run of vinyl on Mt.St.Mtn. – available for pre-order now. The album sounds a bit like The Mantles or Cocktails, with its mix of powerpop and paisley underground. Check out the video for “Fortuna” which bears some influence from the vocal delivery of Lawrence Hayward of Felt.
