Elmo Aoyama from Sydney released her first solo recording on the great compilation Stay Inside – Songs from The Great Indoors that we wrote about not long ago. Dinosaur City have now announced the release of her debut EP Spells that is coming out in August. The title-track and its accompanying home recorded video gives us more of the 80s-tinged synth pop offered on “Summertime”. “Spells” is a languid track perfectly suited to a lazy summer afternoon. The EP also includes three more tracks that we’ve yet to hear but if they’re anywhere as good, this will be a record worth waiting for. US fans can get it from Burger Records.
