Introduction

Introduction is a brand new trio based out of Adelaide. Including Harriet Fraser-Barbour of Ripple Effect Band in their ranks, they make stripped down post-punk in a similar vein to Body Type or Automatic. Their six-song EP on Tenth Court, simply called Introduction, came out a couple of days ago and sounds like the best parts of Young Marble Giants with a bit of Hydroplane thrown in. The video for “Red Light” sees the group riding around in what feels like an Australian take on Easy Rider. I think they’re one of the most interesting all-female groups in the country since Parsnip.
