Caroil from Lithuania has released one of my favourite electronic records of 2020 so far. Vega is his first album and was recorded over the past two years in Vilnius, where he’s involved with the DOS club. The record came out little over a month ago on London label June, which is run by June (that we wrote about earlier) and Trenton Chase. It has a beautifully crisp sound, that is both dark and inviting at the same time. Check out the opening track “A.C.D.” here or some samples from the entire release on Soundcloud. There’s definitely an early 90s industrial influence on tracks like “Antibody”.
