There’s no doubt that Kohti Tuhoa’s album from last year was one of the best European hardcore releases. Now they are back with a new record on La vida es un mus. This time it’s a five-track EP called Elä Totuudesta, which means ‘live the truth’ – a mantra for many this year. I don’t pretend to speak a word of Finnish, but I’ll take the label’s word that the lyrics are about “personal struggles and gender equality”. These songs life off of razor-sharp riffs and vocals that just stay in the red throughout. Hope to see them over in Sweden when that ‘live’ stuff starts up again.
