Moth is one of the bands I’ve enjoyed seeing live the most in Melbourne. Never predictable, always on edge. Following their demo tape, the weird-punk group have their first vinyl record out in July on Marthouse Records, the label run by Dougal “Dr. Sure” Shaw. Machine Nation is packed with four tracks, three of which we haven’t heard before. “2021” was featured on the demo last year, and you can check out the haywire opening track “Ritual” now. All of their songs sound great live, so I can’t wait to hear the rest of these tunes on vinyl. Singer and songwriter Darcy Berry also plays drums in the great Gonzo and his band shares members with the likes of Kosmetika and Body Maintenance.
