It’s our third premiere this week so hold only your hats and check out Luke Spook’s video for The Citradels new single “Been Here a While”. It’s the second single off of Tracs, the Melbourne group’s tenth album that’s out on their own label in a couple of weeks. I’ve always been appalled seeing their records in bargain bins in Melbourne, because I think they are on par with Woods or Doug Tuttle these days. The other single so far, “Only You”, is a perfect piece of jangling psych-pop. We’ve listened to the whole record and are also in love with the drone of “Siren Song”. The album as a whole’s got a similar kind of air to it as the first Iron & Wine releases. Make sure you check out Luke Spook’s own music, which is great too.
