Alicija Trout (Lost Sounds/Black Sunday etc) has released a new track on her bandcamp. “Howlin” appeared in March and is a gently haunting tune accompanied by bass, guitar and organ. She released two 45s around 2010-11 using the name Alicja-Pop but picked up the name again for the Fever Ray cover she did about a year ago. Considering how much attention Jay Reatard gets it’s surprising not many people seem to pay attention to Trout’s post-Lost Sounds projects. She recently added two Mouserocket tracks on bandcamp as well, “Fall Down South” (from the soundtrack to Hung) and “Run From the Shadows”. I’m not sure the latter was released, but there’s a version by Black Sunday out there.
