Burning Rose is a Sydney-based label and one of their most recent releases is an EP from LA duo Dock Hellis. Crisis Talk is their first release and was finished before January, so the crisis inherent to the title is not referring to our current circumstances. That is not to say the music doesn’t suit them. This is dark synthesizer music that could easily have been on Dais Records. The two main tracks “Feed” and “Rook” have a definite 80s feel while attempting and succeeding at bringing something new to the table. It looks like a digital only release, finishing off with two remixes from Physical Wash and Smog Cutter.
